Supporting Gints Bleija’s Family

At MIL-Coffee, we believe that remembrance must be more than words. True respect is shown through action, solidarity, and care for those who carry the memory of our nation’s heroes every day.

Antra Bleija support through Namejs Foundation

In 2024, through the sale of MIL-Coffee products, we donated part of our proceeds — EUR 700 — to the National Defence and Patriotism Foundation “Namejs.” Thanks to this support and our cooperation with the foundation, we were able to provide practical assistance by financially supporting apartment renovations for Antra Bleija, the mother of fallen Latvian soldier Gints Bleija.

Gints Bleija remembrance

We are sincerely grateful to Raimonds Graube and his team for their initiative, trust, and commitment to meaningful work that honors both service and sacrifice.

With deep respect, we remember Staff Sergeant Gints Bleija, a soldier of the Latvian National Armed Forces, who gave his life while carrying out his duties in Iraq.

Latvian National Armed Forces remembrance

On 27 December 2006, near Diwaniyah, Gints was killed during a patrol in an IED explosion. In the same tragic incident, Staff Sergeant Vitālijs Vasiļjevs also lost his life.

Their sacrifice remains part of Latvia’s military history and national memory. The Ministry of Defence of Latvia has stated that these soldiers died while performing their direct service duties, and Gints Bleija is included in the National Armed Forces’ list of fallen soldiers.

MIL-Coffee remembrance and support

We must never forget those who gave their lives in service to their country. Just as importantly, we must not forget their families — the ones who continue to live with love, loss, and remembrance.

To honor fallen soldiers means to stand beside their loved ones not only in memory, but also in practical support. This is how respect becomes real. This is how remembrance endures.

Gints Bleija — eternal remembrance.

By choosing and supporting MIL-Coffee, you become part of this act of remembrance and support.
